A Cork count centre staffer has become, for many, the face of the election thanks to his quirky choice of novelty t-shirts.

On Saturday, it was a red t-shirt with the slogan, ‘Maybe I like the misery’. On Sunday, it was red again, this time with the slogan ‘No better buachaill’. Cian O'Connor's image has now appeared on various Irish media platforms, but also overseas.
