Armed gardaí at scene of serious assault in Tipperary

Four were injured in Nenagh shortly after midday on Friday

"Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending at the scene of an incident of assault in Nenagh, Co Tipperary this afternoon," said a Garda spokesperson.

Armed gardaí and emergency services personnel are currently at the scene of a suspected violent assault in Co Tipperary. 

The incident happened at a property in Nenagh shortly after midday on Friday. 

Following the incident, two people were reportedly hospitalised with suspected stab wounds.

"Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending at the scene of an incident of assault in Nenagh, Co Tipperary this afternooon," a Garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner.

Gardaí received report of the public order incident involving a number of individuals.

"All parties involved had left the scene prior to the arrival of Gardaí.

"Four individuals subsequently sought medical treatment of their own accord for non-life threatening injuries," said a spokesperson for the garda. 

Enquiries are ongoing.
