A 19-year-old promising Limerick soccer player drowned in a jet ski accident after giving his life jacket to a teenage female passenger before she got on the jet ski.

At the Clare Coroner’s Court in Kilrush on Monday, coroner Isobel O’Dea returned a verdict of misadventure concerning the drowning of Wassiou Ayawe Moran at Lough Derg, Killaloe on May 31, 2023.
