Cork motorist found to have been driving without licence for 32 years
On Monday, officers attached to the roads policing unit in Cork City came across the motorist who had been driving for 32 years without a licence.
A Cork motorist was found to have been driving without a licence for more than three decades by gardaí earlier this week.
On Monday, officers attached to the roads policing unit were on patrol in Cork City when they noticed that a car was carrying four passengers in the back seat.
While investigating, they discovered that the driver of the car had never had a full driving licence — yet had been driving for 32 years.
Gardaí also found that the tyres were heavily worn. Posting on social media, a spokesperson said the tyres were a "road traffic incident waiting to happen".

Separately, gardaí in Westmeath clocked a car doing 184km/h in a 100km/h zone along the N4.
"The driver failed to stop when prompted to, gave chase and proceeded to drive against traffic" during the incident on Sunday morning, gardaí said.
A garda spokesperson said the car had been stolen from Blanchardstown in Dublin last Wednesday.
"Our investigation is ongoing and we would be grateful to anyone that witnessed this incident and has dash cam footage to get in touch with us at the station in Mullingar."
