A Kerry GP has spoken in support of a consultant radiologist suspended from University Hospital Kerry (UHK) in Christmas week saying he is the sort of person needed in the HSE.

Dr Martin Schranz, the sole fulltime radiologist in the Tralee hospital, was suspended on December 22.
