Tina Satchwell: Her family said she was 'sadly missed and lovingly remembered' by her family, friends, and neighbours.

Neighbours and friends will be able to say their last goodbyes to Tina Satchwell as her funeral cortège is set to pass her former home in Fermoy, Co Cork, on Wednesday.

In a funeral notice on RIP.ie, the Dingivan family said it was with “great sadness” that they announced the death of their “beloved Tina, daughter of Mary and dear sister of Lorraine, Shane, and the late Tom”.

Ms Satchwell, 45, whose body was found buried at her home in Grattan Street in Youghal earlier this month, is also survived by her aunts and uncles Stephen, Margaret, Teresa, Florence and Frank. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents Florence and Patrick.

Her family said Tina was “sadly missed and lovingly remembered” by her family, friends, and neighbours.

Her funeral cortège will pass through St Bernard’s Place, Fermoy, at 12.30pm on Wednesday. Ms Satchwell grew up in the town and lived there for many years.

Her family added her funeral “will take place privately and quietly, as she lived”.

The body of Ms Satchwell was found at her home in Youghal, Co Cork by gardaí searching the property on October 11. She had been reported missing on March 24, 2017.

The case was upgraded to a murder probe earlier this month, having previously been treated as a missing persons case. Her husband Richard Satchwell has been charged with her murder.

Meanwhile, two vigils have been held in her memory since her body was found. Over 500 people lit candles at an emotional vigil for Ms Satchwell in the town park in her native Fermoy, Co Cork, while a second vigil was held in Youghal.

Ms Satchwell, nee Dingavan, had four older sisters and three brothers. She was described as having been a warm, friendly person who had a great love for animals.

A statement was read out at both vigils on behalf of the Dingivan family. The family said they would "cherish the moments and all the great memories” they had of the youngest girl in the family.

"There are no words to describe the pain in our hearts right now Tina. If we knew the last time we met was going to be our last time we would have hugged you extra tight.

"Tina would put a smile on anyone's face — she had a very bubbly personality and was a very sociable person.

"She was always out and about with her babies [her dogs] Ruby and Heidi. Tina loved her fashion. She was always dressed so well.

"We will cherish the moments and all the great memories we spent with you.

"Fly high our angel — you will be in our hearts forever. We love you Tina...you are at peace now. Until we meet again, give Nana a big hug."
