Woman in custody after mass brawl involving up to 30 people in Tralee

One woman has been arrested and multiple people are under investigation after a mass brawl involving up to 30 people broke out in Tralee on Sunday night.
The fight, involving males and females, was in an area of Tralee known locally as ‘the Bullring’ which has historic links to faction fighting and general disarray, local sources say.
Men and women were hospitalised for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the fight on Mitchel’s Road in Tralee just before 11pm.
Gardaí have called Sunday’s brawl a “serious public order incident".
Multiple people are being investigated by gardaí and more arrests are expected.
A vehicle and other items have been seized.
A woman in her 40s was arrested and taken to a garda station in Co. Kerry. She is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted and the investigation is ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward. Anyone who was in the Mitchel’s Road area of Tralee between 10.30pm and 10.50pm on Sunday is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
