Five juveniles questioned over alleged sexual assault of schoolgirl in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating serious allegations of a sexual assault of a school girl in Dublin.

Five juvenile boys were arrested on January 20 in relation to the allegations.

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner: "All five persons arrested and detained were questioned in respect of the alleged offence and have been released without charge, pending a file to the DPP."

The juveniles were interviewed by specialist garda child interviewers.

It is understood an alleged attacker sent the young girl a video of the assault.

An Garda Síochána continue to investigate.
