Two men in their 20s and 30s were arrested and charged after Gardaí seized €980,000 worth of cocaine at Dublin Port on Monday.

According to a garda spokesperson: "Approximately 14kg was seized by revenue officers following the search of a car which had disembarked from a ferry."

The two men are being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Dublin garda station.

They have been charged and will appear before this evening's sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
