A former Ryanair pilot charged with having an estimated €10m of cannabis for sale or supply has been granted bail after the Court of Appeal overturned a decision by the High Court.

As a condition of his bail, Brendan O'Mara, aged 62, must surrender his pilot's licence due to a concern he might avoid justice by procuring an aircraft at a private airfield to leave the jurisdiction.
