The jury in the trial of murder accused Richard Satchwell has been told they must “consider carefully” any reasonable possibility that what the accused says about his wife’s death is true.

They have also been told to consider the reasons why Satchwell went to elaborate lengths to deceive his wife’s family and gardaí to persuade them that she was still alive, all while knowing she was dead.
