A Carrigaline man accused of attacking a neighbour with a knife during an altercation in the middle of the day in a housing estate was refused bail on Tuesday.

Garda Dave Shannon objected to bail on the basis of the seriousness of the charges against 38-year-old Daniel Horgan of 10 Cul Na Cille, Church Hill, Carrigaline, County Cork, who is charged with assault causing harm to another man and trespassing at his home on October 13.
