Inquest hears file being prepared for DPP over death of girl, 2, from choking

The inquest was adjourned on the basis that criminal proceedings are being considered in the case

Lauren Boland (2) from Delgany, Co Wicklow, died at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin on January 19, 2023, in the arms of her parents a day after being brought to the hospital by ambulance following “a tragic choking event”.

A file is being prepared by gardaí for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the death of a young Wicklow girl from a choking incident last year, an inquest has heard.
