Man, 20s, arrested in connection with fatal Dublin hit-and-run

Carol Seery was killed in a hit-and-run incident at Cross Guns Bridge on Phibsborough Rd, Dublin. 

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Dublin last month.

Carol Seery, 67, from Finglas, died after she was hit by a car which failed to stop as she crossed the road at Cross Guns Bridge on Phibsborough Rd at around 9.10pm on the night of Wednesday, October 4.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that a man in his 20s had been arrested in connection with the incident earlier this afternoon. 

He is currently detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.

The spokesperson said Garda investigations are ongoing.
