Man, 20s, hospitalised after firearm discharged at residence in Galway

A young man has been taken to the hospital after a firearm was discharged at a residence in Galway earlier today.
The incident occurred at a property at Dunlo in Ballinasloe at approximately 3.15am.
A man, aged in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to a garda spokesperson, the scene is currently preserved for technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any person who was in the vicinity of the Cúlán Eiscir Riada area between 2:30am and 4:00am today, Monday, and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, is asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
