Teenager dies following collision between car and motorcycle in Co Wexford

A teenager has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Co Wexford.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident which happened on the R742, Ballinvunnia, Kilmuckridge, at around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

A garda spokesperson said the driver of the motorcycle, a male aged in his late teens, was taken to Beaumont Hospital. However he died in the early morning of Wednesday.

“No other injuries were reported at the time,” they said.

“Garda Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene and an examination took place.

“Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.

“Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R742 Ballinvunnia, Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford between 3pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday May 26 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardai.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Gorey Garda Station on [phone], the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
