Weapons, vehicles and electronic devices seized in garda operation targeting organised crime in Cobh

Gardaí intend to subject all of the items seized to a full technical and forensic examination.

Weapons, vehicles and electronic devices were seized by detectives and uniformed gardaí, supported by the armed support unit and the dog unit, as part of a large-scale garda operation targeting organised crime in a Cork town.

A number of premises in Cobh were searched on Friday by members of An Garda Síochána as part of what a garda source said was a well-resourced operation targeting organised criminal activity in the town.
