Three arrested in connection with €4m cocaine seizure in Kildare and Wexford

Two men in their 30s and 40s and a woman in her 40s were arrested on Wednesday in connection with a suspected cocaine seizure worth over €4m.
The seizure was part of an intelligence-led operation by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service that involved searches of a business in Kildare and a house in Wexford.
The searches resulted in the seizure of a total of 58kg of suspected cocaine.
According to a Garda spokesperson, the three people were arrested "pursuant to Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 in relation to facilitating and enhancing drug trafficking activities for an organised crime group" and are "currently detained pursuant to the provisions of Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Garda Stations in Kildare and Dublin."
The drugs will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
