Luas services in Dublin’s Docklands are set to resume after a three-month halt.

The Luas Red Line service between Connolly and The Point will be fully operational this Friday, three months after a blaze broke out at George's Dock in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in August.

The fire caused a gas pipe in the area to also catch fire.

While no one was injured, the bridge sustained damage that required extensive repairs and reconstruction.

Since the blaze, a replacement bus service has operated in place of the Red Line trams.

Services are due to resume from 5.30am this Friday, after the Commission for Railway Regulation gave approval earlier this week.
