Children’s hospital may begin treating patients next spring

Sick and injured children are to be admitted to the new national children’s hospital by spring or summer next year if building contractor BAM honours its contract, the HSE boss said.
Although an official update is expected in the coming days, the new children’s hospital should have building work sufficiently complete in November to allow “early access” to begin commissioning it, according to HSE chief executive Bernard Gloster.
