Man who struggled with suicidal thoughts calls for end to stigma around mental health

A man who struggled with suicidal thoughts in 2010 during the recession has called for an end to stigma around mental health and urged others to seek help as he did.

Anthony O’Reardon was speaking at the launch of the annual Green Ribbon campaign by mental health charity Shine. He described how this time 15 years ago he developed mental health difficulties and experienced “stress during financial difficulties at the time”.
