Boy, 17, dies after getting into difficulty while swimming in Carlow 

The boy's remains have been transferred to Waterford University Hospital where an autopsy will take place in due course.

The body of a 17-year-old boy has been recovered from the River Barrow in Co Carlow after he got into difficulty while swimming on Tuesday evening.

The teenager's body was found at around 11pm following a search by garda divers.
