A luxury apple tart from Dunnes Stores has been recalled as it does not state that it has almonds in it on the label.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) recall was issued on Monday after a packaging error was discovered.
The recall is for Dunnes Stores Luxury Apple Pie with a pack size of 750g and a batch code of 242. The best before date is June 16, 2025.
"The above batch of Dunnes Stores Luxury Apple Pie is being recalled as some packs have been mispacked with Dunnes Stores Luxury Pear and Almond Pie," said the FSAI.
"The product contains almonds which are not declared on the label.Â
"This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of almonds, and therefore, these consumers should not eat the implicated batch."
Dunnes Stores said: "We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused."
