Taoiseach and president lead congratulations for new Pope Leo XIV in Ireland

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has led official tributes and congratulations on the election of Pope Leo.

He said the celebrations in St. Peter’s Square are a reflection of the "hopes and goodwill" felt by Catholics all around the world towards him.
