Sixth person arrested in relation to fatal stabbing of asylum seeker in Dublin city centre

A sixth person has been arrested in connection with a fatal assault in Dublin last month.
Quham Babatunde, who was 34 and from Nigeria, died after being stabbed on Anne Street South in the city centre at around 3am on February 15. It happened after a row started among people leaving a Valentine's night music event.
Gardaí found him unresponsive, and he was rushed to St James's Street Hospital, where he passed away a short time later. He had been in the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) system.
Gardaí said a man aged in his 20s was arrested on Thursday, March 6. He is currently detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí added.
Five people have already been before the courts on charges connected to the case.
