All flights at Dublin's Weston Airport have been cancelled after a fire broke out on site last night.
Firefighters from Tallaght, Blanchardstown and Tara Street were called to the scene after a fire broke out in a room near the control tower of the private airport on Tuesday evening.Â
According to Dublin Fire Brigade, the fire was quickly contained and extinguished by firefighters in "breathing apparatus".
"The building was ventilated using positive pressure fans and we received great assistance from the Weston Airport Fire Service," Dublin Fire Brigade said via X, formerly Twitter.
Weston Airport offers services for helicopters, private planes and jets.Â
It is located between Leixlip in Co Kildare and Lucan, Co Dublin.
Weston Airport confirmed a fire broke out at 10pm on Tuesday, and that no one was injured.
“A full investigation into the cause of the fire will start this morning. The Airport is closed today Wednesday with all flights cancelled,” said a spokesperson for the airport.
