Lawyers see €9m of their legal fees disallowed by court officials

Almost €9m claimed by solicitors and barristers in legal fees was disallowed by court officials in rulings made last year.

Official figures show legal costs adjudicators reduced the amount of fees due for payment to legal professionals by almost 40% in cases where disputed legal costs could not be settled by the parties themselves.
