Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald claims the party's housing plan offers a way to solve the housing crisis and shape a new era in housing.

Under the plan, which was launched on Monday, the party pledges to build 300,000 new homes over a five-year term, at a cost of €39bn - €37bn for new builds and €2bn for acquisitions.
