Taoiseach has 'broken promises' made over surgeries for children with scoliosis, says Sinn Féin

Sinn Féin's Health spokesperson David Cullinane urged Simon Harris to meet families who are keen to highlight issues around pre-operative care and waiting lists.

Sinn Féin has hit out at the Taoiseach over his failure to meet with scoliosis advocacy groups, four months into his time in office.

While Health Minister in 2017, Simon Harris made a commitment that no child would wait longer than four months for scoliosis surgery, a pledge which has been raised a number of times since his ascension to the Taoiseach's office.
