A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Dublin riots last November.

He is the 38th person to be arrested as part of the investigation.

He is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Dublin Region.

The unrest in the city erupted after a girl, aged five, was severely wounded in a stabbing at Parnell Square on the afternoon of November 23. Two other children and a creche worker were also injured.

Dozens of defendants have court cases pending in connection with the disturbances later that day in the city, including a man accused of torching a Luas tram.

An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to anyone with information about the events on that day or anyone involved in organising or participating in these events to contact the Garda investigation team at Store Street Garda Station at 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
