Nancy Pelosi: Differing views on Gaza won't harm Irish-US relations

The Irish-US relationship will not be harmed by the two countries’ differing views on the war on Gaza, Nancy Pelosi has said.

The former speaker of the House of Representatives is in Ireland to receive the Sutherland Leadership Award at University College Dublin. She spoke to journalists at the US Ambassador's Residence in the Phoenix Park on Monday, and said Ireland and America’s divergence over Israel’s war on Gaza was not “central” to the “basis” of their relationship.
