Almost 11,000 people have applied to defer local property tax

The Revenue Commissioners said 305,715 tax payments remain outstanding since 2013.

Nearly 11,000 people have applied to defer their local property tax (LPT) to date in 2024.

A new update from the Revenue Commissioners shows that 10,758 people had applied to defer the tax, which is charged annually and calculated based on a property’s value, by mid-February of this year.
