Man arrested on suspicion of murder after body found in Dublin

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the discovery of a body in Dublin on Tuesday.

The body of a man aged in his 60s was found at a house near Herberton Park in Dublin 8 at around 3pm by gardaí.

The scene of the incident remains preserved for a forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

On Wednesday, gardaí arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the incident.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the State Pathologist later on Wednesday.

An incident room has been established in Kilmainham Garda Station and the investigation is being overseen by a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO).

A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed and continues to liaise with the family of the deceased.

A Garda spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing.
