Paris SUV vote 'could trigger new trend across Europe'

“This could trigger a new trend across Europe,” Jens MĂŒller of leading NGO Transport and Environment said of Paris’ historic vote to triple parking charges for Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVS).

SUV sales have been growing, making them now the best-selling private vehicles in Europe despite the continent’s necessary battle to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
