Statutory inquiry into spinal surgeries not ruled out by Taoiseach

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has told advocacy groups he would not rule out a statutory inquiry into the use of uncertified springs in spinal surgeries at Temple Street Children's Hospital.

However, Mr Varadkar asked them to consider other options and told them that the terms of reference of an external review, which were open to discussion, would be drafted in consultation with them.
