More than 60 children have waited on trolleys in hospitals so far this month

This month 64 children have waited overnight on trolleys for a hospital bed and nurses have warned parents are now relying on hospitals to fill gaps in community care.

Just on Monday, there were seven children waiting for a bed, among 521 in total around the country despite it being only mid-September and well before the winter flu, RSV, and covid-19 seasons.
