Older people should not turn off their lights in a bid to save electricity, a professor of energy systems engineering has warned. 

With Government departments finalising next week’s budget amid the cost-of-living crisis, politicians and community organisations have heard numerous accounts of people being negatively impacted by skyrocketing energy bills.
