7,005 Covid cases confirmed amid warnings over multiple occupancy rooms in hospitals

Professor Hilary Humphreys said multi-occupancy rooms must be minimised to prevent the spread of infection in hospitals

A further 7,005 cases of Covid-19 has been confirmed.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 3,150 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19. On Wednesday, 3,855 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
