The Garth Brooks concerts, tickets for which went on sale at 8am on this morning, will be among the first major events designated under the legislation that criminalises ticket touting.

Under the legislation, it will be illegal for a secondary ticket seller to sell or advertise tickets for the Brooks concerts above face value.
