European countries reopening to summer holidaymakers will take “some time” and will depend on how quickly vaccines can be rolled out, the EU coronavirus chief has said.

Dr Andrea Ammon, director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), has thrown doubt on plans for summer holidays abroad.
