An eight-year-old boy has been seriously hurt after reportedly being attacked by a number of dogs at a house in Dublin.

An eight-year-old boy has been seriously hurt after reportedly being attacked by a number of dogs at a house in Dublin.

It happened about four o'clock this afternoon in Tallaght.

The boy was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries, and has since been transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital.

The dogs involved have been confiscated, and local gardaí are launching an investigation.
