Two arrested in connection with suspected extortion of builders in Limerick

Gardaí have arrested two men in Limerick in connection with suspected extortion of builders in the city between last November and this month.

The men in their 30s and 40s were arrested after reports that threats had been made at a building site and money demanded.

The men are due to appear before Cork City District Court today.

Gardaí are also asking anyone who feels they have been subjected to coercion or extortion to contact them.
