Man jailed for sexual abuse of young cousin who thought it was 'normal part of everyday life' for six years

A Central Criminal Court judge has commended the bravery of an Offaly woman in coming forward to report being sexually abused as a child over 45 years ago.

John Moran (aged 66) was today jailed for six years for the rape and indecent assault of the woman, his second cousin, while she was aged between five and 11 years old.
