Gardaí investigating man's sudden death in Kilkenny city

An investigation is underway into a sudden death in Kilkenny city.

A man's body was found in a house on Waterford Road in the city at about 7pm yesterday evening.

He was in his 40s and is undertood to be from the south east, but lived in Kilkenny.

A full postmortem examination will take place today and the results will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
