There are 574 patients waiting for beds in Irish hospitals today.

There are 574 patients waiting for beds in Irish hospitals today.

According to the INMO's Trolley Watch figures 410 are waiting in the emergency department, while 164 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The number is up slightly on Tuesday's figure which was 567.

The worst-hit hospitals today are:

  • University Hospital Limerick– 58
  • Cork University Hospital – 45
  • University Hospital Galway - 44
