College sweethearts return as UCC plans to name historic bridge

Generations have walked over it and soon it will have a name, as University College Cork (UCC) today plans to brand the historic bridge at its ceremonial gate as the Alumni Bridge.

The crossing, which was completed in October 1929, leads to the university from Western Road.
