Killer 'Freddie' Thompson brings High court challenge over 'oppressive' prison conditions

Convicted killer Frederick 'Freddie' Thompson has brought a High Court challenge over what he claims is the " extremely oppressive" and the "severe" regime he is being subjected to at Portlaoise Prison.
39-year-old Thompson from Dublin's South inner city is serving a life sentence he received last year following his conviction at the Special Criminal Court for the murder of David Douglas in 2016.
