The State’s environmental watchdog has warned that Ireland is not addressing wastewater deficiencies at a “fast enough pace”. The country is facing the threat of EU fines.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) director general Laura Burke made the comments as she faced questions from TDs at the Public Accounts Committee over water quality.
