A 34-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Athy in the early hours of this morning has been named as David Boland from Nurney, Co Kildare.

Latest: A 34-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Athy in the early hours of this morning has been named as David Boland from Nurney, Co Kildare.

Gardaí were called to the scene on Duke Street in Athy at 5.30am where the victim was found with a number of apparent stab wounds.
