New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that the total new car registrations for the month of August were up 3.5% (5,932) when compared to August 2017 (5,729).

New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that the total new car registrations for the month of August were up 3.5% (5,932) when compared to August 2017 (5,729).

The increase comes despite a fall of almost four percent in registrations over the year to date (119,937 v 124,651).
